I wanted to provide some description and swatches to anyone considering buying this palette, as sometimes company photos can be difficult to accurately portray them.
First off, this is a palette of mostly light and bright mattes with some shimmers. I highly recommend using a good primer before starting with these colours in order to get the best pigmentation payoff. These are not bad quality shadows by any means and they are buildable, but to get light yellows and pastels to show up, use a good base. I have not yet tried amore’s primer because I am still working through my bottle of urban decay, but any good quality primer will make these shadows pop. Some of the very bright shades may also stain skin slightly, and again this is not so much an issue of quality as the pigments used to achieve such bright colours. If you love very bright pigmented colours just be sure to use a good makeup remover when you are done.
21 of the shades are mattes (including 2 sparkle mattes)
3 are metallics
8 are shimmer / satin
Perky is a shimmer pale peach
In the Pink is a shimmer cool pink
Romance is a shimmer pink-red melon
Striken is a matte almost neon magenta
Hottie is a matte magenta that is warmer and redder than Striken
Como La Flor is a satin shimmer red-pink
Lovesick is a matte true red
Passion is a metallic copper that has a slight pink shift
Sol is a bright matte orange-yellow
Frisky is a duochrome shimmer that has a red base with a gold shift on top
High Key is a matte orange
Delight is a metallic copper-gold
Bright looks like a neon or lime green in the pan, but reads lemon yellow on skin
Adventurer is a sparke matte with very fine flecks of gold, but mostly reads as matte
Sunlit is a bright matte lemon yellow
Maturity is a matte khaki green-brown
Fresh is a matte lime green
Amused is a shimmer seafoam green
Serene is a matte grass green
PLUR is a matte teal
On Air is a matte sky blue
Cloud Nine is a satin-matte aqua blue
Mother Earth looks teal in the pan but it is matte pine green on skin
Jade is matte dark teal
Lagune is a matte turquoise
Mar is a shimmer navy blue
Moon is a sparkle matte navy blue, this one you can pick up some of the sparkles
Noir, even layered several times, is more of a charcoal grey than a true matte black. It still blends out nicely
Coquette is a matte bright mauve
Slick is a metallic cobalt blue
Surge is a matte cool purple
Amethyst is a matte warm purple
Really, the only colours that I had trouble with showing up were Perky and Noir, and considering the fact that these are a light pink and a black you can find them literally anywhere. I hope someone with medium or dark skin can provide swatches or reviews for how these colours show up. This palette is definitely worth your money if you are looking for a nicely curated selection of rainbows.
